The historic setting of Windsor recently hosted our senior management team for our end-of-Q2 Regional Managers Meeting. This meeting marked a significant moment for our company, blending focused business planning with a key leadership transition and a heartfelt celebration.
A New Chapter
The day marked a significant moment as we officially said farewell to our longtime Managing Director, John Axten, after an incredible 25-year tenure at BMSI. John's leadership has been the driving force behind our success, guiding the company's growth to a team of over 200 talented employees.
His vision and unwavering dedication have been essential in making BMSI the industry leader it is today. We are grateful for his many years of service and are pleased that John will remain a valued part of the BMSI family, where we can still draw upon his vast experience and wisdom.
This transition also marks an exciting new era of leadership as Chris Reid steps into his role as Managing Director. Chris's promotion was announced earlier this year, and we're thrilled to officially have him leading us into a new chapter.
He brings extensive experience from senior leadership roles in the BEMS industry, most recently leading our thriving Projects Sales team.
His dynamic energy, strategic thinking, and proven track record make him the ideal leader to drive BMSI toward our ambitious future goals. The board fully believes in his ability to inspire and lead our team to even greater success.
A Packed Agenda
Our new MD, Chris Reid, shared his reflections on the day, highlighting its core purpose:
"This meeting was all about growth, supporting and guiding our regional leaders as we prepare for the next phase of the BMSI journey." The agenda was full, packed with discussions centred on our strategic direction and how we can continue to empower our regional teams. Chris added, "My biggest takeaway was the privilege of being surrounded by such an amazing and talented group of people."

Despite the warm weather, our enthusiasm never flagged, showcasing a team that brings its passion and commitment to every setting, from the boardroom to the shooting club. The day wrapped up in style at the brilliant Lea Marston Shooting Club LTD, where the team had the chance to relax and reconnect. Shout-out to Lewis Stevenson, aka “the Hitman”, for his sharp shooting skills!
This meeting was a perfect blend of focused business planning, a significant leadership transition, and valuable time for our team to connect and celebrate.
