Merry Christmas from BMSI

Before we sign off on 2018, BMSI would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

We would also like to say a big thank you to all of our customers, partners and suppliers for their continued support and we look forward to another successful year in 2019.

We’ll be at our desks until lunchtime on the 24th December, before heading off to enjoy the festive season. Our offices will reopen at 9am on Wednesday 2nd January.

BMSI Celebrate at the Energy Awards 2018!

BMSI attended the Energy Awards 2018 this month and celebrated a successful 2018 with the team.

 

The Energy Awards bring together over 600 of the most senior operators in the energy market, both local and international, to recognise and applaud the very best of the energy industry.

 

BMSI National Support Sales Manager, Jen Johnson, attended the event with the BMSI team and commented:

 

“It was a great feeling to be at the event with both colleagues and the customer that enabled our Energy Awards submission to take place. Over the past 12 months the whole BMSI team have been working hard to challenge standard practice, bring innovation and future technology to the table and really get to the bottom of what our customers want to achieve. Through this focus, and the support of a very engaging and interested client team, we proposed, delivered and monitored the results of a new style of contract, which became our award submission.

 

Aside from an excuse to get dressed up, enjoy a lovely meal and, as it happened, get very competitive around golf handicaps! The event was a great night to really celebrate another year of development and improvement at BMSI.”

BMSI Support team top the leader board at 52 Lime St celebrations!

Fresh from securing the ongoing support of the BMS and EMS at The Scalpel, BMSI’s London Support team celebrated with a darts-match social alongside the site CBRE team and client.

 

52 Lime Street has been a prestigious win for both the Major Projects and Support teams respectively, so it was a brilliant opportunity for Support to meet and celebrate the success of the project with the client, and of course, indulge in a healthy bit of competition.

 

Mark Stewart, London Regional Manager at BMSI, attended the event with Support Engineer, Damon Carter from the London support team, and commented:

 

“It was great to be invited to the darts social-event at Fight Club in Bloomsbury last month, myself and Damon joined the CBRE site team for the evening and it was good fun getting to know everyone and catching up with the client. Various games of novelty darts were played including Demolition, Killer and Snakes n Ladders ensuring that everyone had a brilliant time – and Damon even topped the leader board!“

BMSI awarded BMS contract for Derbyshire PCC!

BMSI have been awarded a 5 year BMS maintenance and 24/7 reactive support capability contract for 8 Police sites, including Derbyshire PCC HQ in Ripley.

 

The process for securing the contract for such a highly-critical client saw BMSI take on the challenges of facing a rigorous OJEU tender process, and provide substantial assurances to the client of the high-quality training of BMSI engineers.

 

Delighted to be supporting yet another highly critical client, Director of Support Services at BMSI, Keith Bankier, commented:

 

“While the process was a tough one to secure, we’re quite confident that the client will find little to actually be critical about thanks to the quality of our superior technology and the unrivalled competence of our engineers.

BMSI Secure BMS Contract for Iconic Scalpel building

BMSI have secured the ongoing support of the BMS and EMS at The Scalpel; the newest addition to the most distinguished skyline in the city.

 

This iconic building, located at 52 Lime Street, was a prestigious win for the BMSI major projects team, and now, through the hard work of our support team and innovative MediCentre technology, we are delighted to have secured a 3 year contract with CBRE for the project.

 

BMSI National Support Sales Manager, Jen Johnson, has been working hard on bringing the contract into fruition and commented:

 

“We have been pushing the boundaries with CBRE, specifically over the past 9 months, to engage with our MediCentre technology, attending speed networking, innovation days and generally showing them the benefits of our new range of solutions – and it is great to see that this hard work has really paid off. 

 

The Scalpel is an extensive site with a staggering 952 submeters throughout! And we have utilised a mixture of weekly engineer visits, proactive energy management via Medic and reactive remote support to create a support solution meeting all of the clients requirements. This is a fantastic project to work on and we’re very much looking forward to really showing off with what we can deliver on it.”

BMSI’s Aviation Customer’s win big at Windsor Racecourse!

BMSI’s race night proved to be a rip-roaring success for the Aviation division’s customer base, and saw generous charitable donations from the team.

 

Taking place last month at Windsor Racecourse, the event was attended by a selection of clients from BMSI’s Aviation division and included a competitive betting competition that got everyone clamouring for the winning position.

 

Benefiting from the great weather and atmosphere on the night, BMSI Director, James Smith was delighted with the success of the evening:

 

“We had a really great night at Windsor Racecourse with our Aviation customers. The event was an outstanding success and we were very lucky with the weather, and the picturesque venue. Everyone who attended  came with such a great energy, which really aided the enjoyment of the entire evening.

 

The race competition was won by Sean McConyway from Dornan Engineering and the winning prize of £100 was matched by BMSI to be donated to a charity of Sean’s choice. The momentum was so positive during the night that the consortium bet from many of those attending was also very generously donated to the charity!”

BMSI Celebrate being Shortlisted for the Energy Awards 2018!

BMSI have been recognised by the Energy Awards in the prestigious Energy Data Collection and Analysis Category – and suffice to say, the entire team is thrilled to be shortlisted.

The award, which recognises the importance of monitoring and targeting, metering and measuring energy use, has shortlisted BMSI’s PFI School Energy Optimisation project due to its innovative and effective way of meeting the clients objectives.

BMSI National Support Sales Manager, Jen Johnson, is thrilled to be celebrating the announcement with the team:

“We’re extremely proud that this project has been recognised by the Energy Awards 2018. The project was so successful due to our ability to address the situation as a whole, utilise existing technology in a more unique way and analyse the variety of data available to us via the BeMS – allowing us to put together an energy strategy that was beneficial both to the client and the environment.
